FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
SPEAKING OF CRUSHING GOALS...
“I started my journey with Steph about 11 months ago in search of better health and nutrition. Prior to that, I had bounced around looking for the perfect program but never really had the commitment to improve my overall health. She has changed that!
Steph tailored a plan that was right for me from the beginning, starting with 1 or 2 full body workouts a week and a short run. Now we are up to 4 workouts a week with a full strength regimen along with cardio and mobility mixed in. Not only have I seen great results in muscle tone and definition, I am at my goal weight and have seen great improvements in my lab results/blood work. Her one on one coaching has also kept me accountable and helped me create a consistent healthy lifestyle.”

“I've been working out for years, and since COVID, I have transitioned to a 100% home gym. Rather than winging my workouts, which I often did, I enlisted Stephanie to help build me custom workout plans each week. Every week she presents me with effective, challenging, safe workouts that align with my goals.
Stephanie is a true professional who is incredibly responsive and knowledgeable. She continuously checks in, makes modifications on the fly, and builds programs based on your available equipment. She has proven to me that consistent, tried-and-true workouts always win. For anyone looking to train on their own at home (or in a gym), I highly recommend Stephanie.”

“Stephanie has been my Personal Trainer for over a year. On our first conversation she listened to my concerns and answered my questions, reviewed my nutrition and made suggestions for adjustments. She created workouts for me based in my goals and was very receptive to any changes or modifications. I highly recommend her. She has coached me into a new version of myself and I am extremely grateful!”
LAURIE
“Training with Steph has been a game changer for me. Incorporating exercise regularly into my schedule has always been something I’ve struggled with but with Steph’s workouts and platform it is easy because you know exactly what you’ll be doing everyday. Her workouts are very effective, easy to fit into your home/work schedule and always super fun. I'm feeling healthier and stronger every day! ”

WHAT'S BEEN HOLDING YOU BACK?
TIME?
Is making time to workout or eat healthy a struggle? When we are first starting out, making the time to workout can be the hardest thing. It is a change in routine. It is new. It can be intimidating. We have to push through and do it anyway. It is fun once you get going! Prioritise yourself and your workouts. With time, it will become a habit. You will feel better, look forward to your workouts, and feel off if you have to miss one. I promise the journey is worth it. Instead of looking at the time you are spending on improving your health and fitness, look at the years you are adding to your life. On average, people who make the time to work out add 8 years to their lives! And you may even inspire others to make positive changes in their lives too!
FEAR?
Fear is an illusion, and it can stop us in our tracks. It can be fear of change, fear of failure, fear of success, or even fear of what others will think. These fears can hold us back from achieving what we truly desire. You are capable of being the best version of yourself!
Although starting, or restarting, a fitness program is not always an easy journey, it is worth it. There may even be times you don’t feel motivated or that you don’t think that you are making progress. Remember, fitness is not linear! Numbers do not define success. While working with me, we focus on all of the positive things that fitness adds to our life. We set small goals and build habits to break through fears.
LOOKING "BULKY"?
A common fear for women when they start strength training is looking too muscular or bulky. It is very difficult and can take years and intention to build that kind of muscle. Strength training will improve your body composition, bone density, and posture; it will also improve your sleep quality, mood, and self-confidence! Muscle is also harder for your body to maintain, so building lean muscle will increase your resting metabolic rate, which basically means you will burn more calories at rest. Muscle is also more dense than fat, so building muscle will positively change your body, giving you a "toned" appearance. As we age, we lose muscle; this is called sarcopenia. This can begin at age 35. We can lose 1–2% of muscle mass a year! This is often why you hear people complain that it is harder to lose weight as they get older. And it is another reason why it is critical to strength train throughout our lives—so we can maintain and even improve our quality of life!
